Introduction
This policy explains how Fiindt processes your personal data when you visit fiindt.com, write to us through the contact form or sign up for the newsletter.
The site has no user accounts, no comments and no paid content, so you can read it without giving us any personal information.
Data controller
The data controller is Fiindt, 36039 Fulda, Hesse, Germany. For any question about your data, write to hello@fiindt.com.
Data we process
Contact form
When you write to us, we receive your name, email address and message. We use them only to reply to you.
Newsletter
Only your email address is required to subscribe. It is used solely to send you the newsletter.
Audience measurement
If you accept it in the cookie banner, Google Analytics 4 records how the site is used: pages viewed, visit duration, device and browser type, referring page, and approximate country or city. These statistics tell us which content is useful. Without your consent, Google Analytics is not loaded.
Technical data
Like any hosting provider, Vercel processes the technical data needed to serve the site and keep it secure, including your IP address and the information sent by your browser.
Legal bases
Each type of processing relies on a legal basis under the GDPR:
Audience measurement and newsletter: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
Replying to your messages: our legitimate interest in handling the requests we receive.
Hosting, security and remembering your cookie choice: our legitimate interest in running the site safely, and our legal obligations.
Service providers
We use a small number of providers that process data on our behalf:
Vercel Inc. (United States): website hosting.
Google Ireland Limited and Google LLC: audience measurement with Google Analytics 4, only after you consent.
Resend (United States): delivery of contact form and newsletter emails.
Transfers outside the European Union
Some of these providers are based in the United States. These transfers rely on the safeguards provided by the GDPR: the EU–US Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified, or otherwise the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
Retention periods
Contact form messages: as long as needed to reply, 12 months at most.
Newsletter email address: until you unsubscribe.
Cookie storing your choice (fiindt_consent): 6 months.
Google Analytics cookies (_ga and _ga_*): 13 months at most.
Security
The site is served entirely over HTTPS, and access to the tools holding personal data is restricted to the Fiindt team. If a data breach is likely to affect your rights, we will notify the competent supervisory authority and, where the law requires it, the people concerned.
Your rights
Under the GDPR, you can access your data, have it corrected or erased, restrict its processing, object to it, receive it in a portable format, and withdraw any consent you have given at any time.
How to exercise your rights
Write to hello@fiindt.com describing your request. We reply within one month. If we have reasonable doubts about your identity, we may ask for additional information before acting.
To leave the newsletter, click the unsubscribe link in any email. To change your cookie choice, use the “Manage cookies” link in the footer.
If you believe your rights have not been respected, you can lodge a complaint with the competent data protection authority in Germany or with the supervisory authority of your EU country of residence (in France, the CNIL).
Updates
We update this policy whenever our tools or processing change, for example when a new feature launches. The date of the latest update is shown at the top of this page.
